MODERN HERITAGE HOME

South Dublin Residence, set within a beautifully landscaped garden (by Inspire Landscape), is a thoughtfully composed family home that blends traditional architectural language with a relaxed, modern sensibility.

Designed to feel both grounded and generous, the house is organized around a series of warm, light-filled spaces that connect effortlessly to the garden and outdoor living areas.

Natural materials play a central role throughout the project, with lime plaster walls, exposed timber beams, stone floors, and finely detailed joinery creating a calm, tactile interior palette. Arched openings, soft transitions between rooms, and carefully framed views lend the house a sense of quiet rhythm, while bespoke elements — from the kitchen and bar to built-in storage and bathrooms—reinforce the home’s tailored yet unpretentious character. The result is a timeless residence that feels rooted in tradition while designed for contemporary family life.

The main entrance is a generous, light-filled space that highlights the lime plaster walls by Maison Anna B. The stove by Heating Distributors, with a stone surround by Ryan & Smith, is a welcoming feature set against the rustic timber flooring by Amsterdam Flooring and stone flooring by Fossil Stone.

The bespoke kitchen by Rhatigan & Hick, with stone by Miller Stone, is the heart of the home, complemented by an intimate dining space with millwork by Paul Sweeney. Soft linen window treatments by Mary Wrynne provide an additional textured layer.

The primary suite is a luxurious space with bespoke millwork throughout by Husswood Joinery, combining natural timber, textured wallpaper, and soft color tones. The furnishings throughout are soft and comfortable, with antique pieces sourced to enhance the character of the home.
